Conservation Services has constructed many Outdoor Classrooms (or "An Seomra Glas") in school gardens around Ireland. What better way for students to learn about wildlife and biodivdersity than outside in this specially designed learning area.
Each classroom is made from beautiful, long-lasting native Douglas Fir. It includes
- A U-shaped searting area (approx 3mtr x 3mtr) to seat an average class
- A large low-level nature table (1.5mtr x 1.5mtr)
- An outdoor Blackboard (free-standing or attached to a wall)
- A bird box with webcam
- A bug box
When installing onto grass we recommend first lating a gravel base as shown in the picture above.
